Spring vs. Summer

Is the Internet usage determined by a season of the year? The latest data from gemiusAudience shows that there are some differences in the Internet usage pattern between spring and summer. Internet users executed more page views in August than in May, according to data published by Gemius Baltic in cooperation with Gemius SA. Simultaneously, some of the websites from the TOP 10 list have dropped slightly as far as their reach is concerned.

Over the period of time from May to August some changes in websites' reach can be noticed, none of them, however, being of great significance. In most cases the most popular websites in Lithuania have maintained their positions in the ranking, as gemiusAudience finds out. Taking into account the reach, the unquestioned no. 1 with 70,24 percent of Internet users who visited the web site at least once remains Delfi. The first runner-up is One.lt, a website devoted to mobile entertainment. The third most popular website is Takas. Lietuvos Rytas, which in May was no. 6, appeared in the August ranking as no. 8.

It is worth pointing out that the biggest decrease in reach (-3,63 percentage points) was recorded in the case of Draugas. What is interesting as far as Takas is concerned, its reach in August did not differ from the one in May.

Finally, it should be underlined that all websites from the TOP 10 list have registered unexpected growth if we take into account the average number of page views per visitor. gemiusAudience has revealed that the most impressive increase belongs to One.lt, where the average number of page views increased from 84,39 in May to 253,29 in August.
